Kill Story 350z
Had me some nissan for dinner , did 2 30mph rolls . Talked to guy later and he said he had " 3in nismo exhaust with cat delete. aem cold air intake. kinetix intake manifold. unorthodox racing pullies. tune. "
How they are making 306hp out the box w/ a 3.5 i have no idea but im happy none less. I only have k&n and muffler delete.
Let off around the 120-125 range both times. Happy

He should have had you unless he was a bad driver, I raced one of those that was bone stock with my 08 GXP and I barely beat him.
And I have an Overkill tune, a built tranny w/shift kit, fender well intake and exhaust work. A basically stock GXP will not keep up with one of those in even stock form unless the person can't drive it for crap.
And based on the 350z's mods, he should have easily won at any starting speed.
At any rate, a wins a win, a good driver is a MOD as well.

These have been discussed before. Depends wether your racing a friday job or a wensday job. Ive raced one with hs only mod being an exhaust i was stock and i had him by a long waaaaaaays. And i raced one that was stock with sigmods on my car and he gave me a solid run.

That makes no sense, a stock 2008 350z weighs 3320lbs and has 306hp, while an 08 GXP weighs 3632 and has 303hp. The laws of power to weight ratio don't add up. I can see these cars being pretty close stock to stock at lower speeds, but the 350z should pull away from us at speeds over 70mph. Unless my power and weight calculations are off?
Of course there are a lot of variables and people with make cases for all of that, but if a stock GXP is stomping a 350z with an exhaust even something is wrong somewhere because that just shouldn't happen unless the driver is stupid.

Torque has a lot do with this, and I think makes a skilled driver that much more important behind the wheel of the Z.
A buddy of mine at work has a 2011 370Z Nismo. With exhaust and tune, he put down 316 RWHP/253 lb-ft RWTQ. I drove his car back to back with my Camaro, and the thing was extremely fast, but you had to wind it out. It felt really soft below 3500 RPMs, and after that, it really took off.
I would think an LS4 could probably take one up to about 50 or 60 MPH, but the Z would make up ground fast beyond that.
Ironically, when I let my buddy drive the Camaro, he was shocked at the torque. He's now in the market for an LS1 car.
