not crazy about the wheels, but hard to tell from the shots you posted of what they really look like. do you have a better side shot of the car with them on there? what size are they 20"?

The wheels are 20x8.5 with 245/35/20 Rubber. I wanted something simple but sporty and not something that everyone else had. They are lighter than the stock wheels,I can feel that in the steering wheel
and the car actually performs better.

I've been contemplating that. I'm in Chicago and I don't know how a lowered car would appreciate that.

I'm in Chicago, lowering the car wasn't a terrible idea. the rear of my car sagged becasue I've got big subs but I put the stockers back on in back and its fine now. rather than lowering the car, I'd try to fit as much sidewall on there as you can. the infamous chicago potholes will bend the crap out of a rim and who doesn't want a cushier ride? That said, I think I'm going to stuff some 285/35-19s up front and 235/45-19 out back on some Enkei's I like the chrome on your car, but IMHP 20s are too damn big on these cars. and I'm running 20s right now!

I haven't weighed the wheels to actually verify a weight difference but the front end definitely feels lighter and the car moves a lot better with the 20's. Not positive but I don't think there's that much of a difference in circumference between the 19's with tires vs. The 20's. I'm gonna consider lowering it though.

You are correct there isnt a big variation in the overal height of any wheel/tire combo that fits on the car. Your new setup has less height than stock though, as well as my planned front setup. Yes the height is relevant to lowering the car, but I'm not talking about the circumference. I'm talking about sidewall height. The 2nd number of a tire size denotes the % of the tread width that was used to derive the height of the sidewall. So a 245/35 has less sidewall than a 285/35 on any size wheel. Sidewall is what will keep your rims from getting bent on the potholes as well as help the ride. So I'm trying to say that with the little sidewall on your car, making the suspension stiffer might not be the best idea as I've found in my own expire nice with this car. You might have to find a good rim repair shop, but no doubt lowered looks good tho

There's a very slim chance those 20s weight less than the Alcoa forged 18s. The alcoas are heavy for a "forged" wheel, but a cast wheel will weigh more. So unless you paid some big bucks for those rims, there's no way they're lighter especially with the chrome. I'd say a set of new forged 20s would be $2000 on the cheap side. My 20s easily weigh more than the 18s and it shows through the feel and the premature brake and hub wear. The enkei 19s I'm looking at are spun forged, weight 20lbs each and cost around $375 a pop. that's not to say that they may have given you a wider track, or since you didn't go staggered that would change the handling, plus new tires are always the best thing for a car.

V8 IMPss how much tire are you planning on sticking under there?
GXPs can only manage 275/40r18 , and we are desigened to have larger fronts.

The tires are 245/35/20,I know of a guy who's running 245/30/22's with no complications but I would never ever ever ever run anything above what I am now.
