Default Build Numbers

Posted this over at LS4 but figured I'd post here also.

Is there anywhere to get how many cars were made? I just went out to compnine.com and plugged in our 2008 GXP. Here's the breakdown it showed with these options:
Red Jewel
Cashmere Leather
Sunroof
Navigation

Came back with 1 of 24

Then I started looking over the RPO codes and found something interesting:

WD0 IDENTIFICATION START OF PLATFORM CONTAINMENT VEHICLES PLATFORM CONTAINMENT VEH(WD0)
WD1 IDENTIFICATION - PILOT VEHICLE

Came back as 1 of 1

I knew when we bought this car that it was previously a brass hat car but could it actually be a pilot car? Compnine also came back with build date unknown.

Anyway, just seeing if mine is actually that rare or not.

Never got stickied, because they didn't find it important.

A lot come back as 1 of 1.

And when did compnine come back online? They shut it down last time I looked, which has been a while. It hit me the other day it's been almost 9 months since I lost my GXP.

I know combine isn't the end all to info but just found it interesting that our car was a pilot car. FWIW our car is VIN 11 in production so it was definitely an early build. I'm going to see if I can find a build sheet in the car.

The sticker on the door says 4/07 for production. When did production supposedly start?

How do you take the back seats out? I want to see if there is a build sheet under them but doing a quick look couldn't figure out how to get the bottoms out.

I thought pilot cars were crushed after validation. This is interesting stuff!

Hate quoting myself but according to the GMVIS, the car had a PDI date of 4/27/07.
Warranty started 5/1/07.

There isn't, wasn't in mine at least, but there's a pull under both sides to remove the bottom cushion and 5 10 mm bolts and 17 mm or 19 mm bolts, been a while I don't remember, to remove the back.

But the RPO codes sticker is in the trunk under the mat. Original production was end of '04, I believe. As far as '08 production, I've never heard of a previous year April build being kicked up a year on an existing model.
