Any DOD Cams?

Any DOD Cams? Are there any other cams besides the new era performance cam that can be used in the gxp or a way to use a different cam without removing all that DOD ****. If this has been talked about before please link me to the thread.
I think $800 is pricey for a single low/mid lift cam.

Well that new era cam is for a g8gt and since that works for our cars I am sure any g8gt DOD cam should. Also that kit is $750 for the cam,springs,pushrods,seals, and dampener not just the cam.

The reason imo u lose that much mpg is because u still have the dod hardware causing parasitic loss on the valvetrain thunder racing makes a complete dod delete for 300 which includes a ls2 valley cover

In our car, which gets 95% highway miles, the loss is a solid 2 MPG. Sure, every car is a little different, but 90% of folks who have disabled DoD lose this amount on the highway.
On the flip side, there's plenty of evidence to suggest that you can actually gain a MPG in city driving with DoD off, so perhaps, your mix of driving is such that the city improvement offsets the highway loss.
While the four DoD lifters are heavier than the other twelve, the parasitic drag they exert on the engine is minimal. In fact, I would argue that a high wattage audio amplifier costs more MPG than does those four lifters. Besides, pretty much everyone else has experienced a highway MPG loss, and those that have not just don't drive on the highway much, if at all.

Lets say 330 miles per tank full. 200 of those are probably city traffic. Smaller town so we don't have many stop lights or traffic so the 4 miles I drive to work are fairly stop free. I am a regular at Lambeau Field, so the last time I went to GB was just over a week ago for the Packers/Bears game. This last time, I had DoD disabled and averaged 22.3 mpg by doing the math, not going by the DIC. The game I went to before that, I had DoD enabled. Again, going by math, I averaged 27.8. Not much and I'm not overly concerned with it, just tossing out my experience for others to absorb.

I judged my mpgs pre and post dod like this..first off I drive 50 miles round trip a day down I-95 as well as a lot of city driving when I'm home. I normally get around 27 mph on the highway and 12-14 in the city, with dod. I would say I drive 75% highway....lots of long trips. My last 5 tanks (post dod) I got between 26.5 and 27.2 highway. BUT I am getting around 16 city. With dod I got around 250 miles per a tank. I fill up before red dash. Now I get around 260 max usually same 250 though. So I haven't loss and mpgs. Wether I picked up city and offset my loss in highway is anyone's guess. But I get the same mileage but the car drives a lot better. Just use your tuner to tune it out for a good month and see what your difference is and base your decision on that.

I fill all the way up. Then I drive. Then.I fill up again and dive miles I've driven by how much gas it took to fill it back up. I don't solely use the dic if that's what your inferring.
And it's true, some folks do use the average in the DIC, which is generally not accurate, and only becomes less accurate with each mod, especially tuning!
Once in a while, you'll even see somebody claiming 36 MPG on the highway, using the instant MPG on the DIC for like, 20 miles!
Sometimes I dont realize the tone of my sentence. That was supposed to be sarcasm not attitude lol. But I knew what you were getting at. In that case I usually get 99.9 mpg down hill in neutral! Beat that.
