I actually had to take it to the dealer to have the locking lugs pulled off the car because they didn't have the key for them. I asked them to take a look at the exhaust and thats when I found out it had a hole in it. I asked them how much it would cost to fix it...................................... THEY TOLD ME $3,000 WTF!!! Kiss my ***, Not when I can get a magnaflow off ebay for 600.Anyways, still a nice looking setup you got going.
Thanks man , and as for the welding I dont know what the muffler shop used. They charged me $80 to custom fit the muffler to the impala. And damn.... $3000 to fix yours ? Big time rip off right there . lol

Oh wow, I thought you did that personally. I think I'd be pretty upset about it if a shop did it like that. Yea, they tried to tell me that they had to order the entire OEM catback which comes as a single piece and gets shipped freight on a 8ft skid. Sounded plausible, but also like a bunch of BS. They then said they could get me an aftermarket for 1500 installed. Still sounds like a rip off when I can get it for 600 and install it myself. Needless to say, I will never be returning to that dealer again. Only reason why I even went there was because they had the best deal on the ISS in the area, 55k miles for $13k.

So I talked with the sales guy today about the muffler, he apologized for it and set me up an appointment on monday to have the catback replaced FOR FREE. All I can say is bada**, I'm a fan for life now. Any dealership that is willing to eat the cost of something like that after selling an as-is car is alright in my book. I may never go to another dealer again.

**** em. Right now I only have 2.25 inch magnaflow mufflers attached to the stock exhaust. Welded up nice and fast and now it just makes some noise when I get on it. I think I want it louder though

probably just go 3 inch custom exhaust from a zzp downpipe.
