I've played around with e85 on my stock monte SS. I can use about a 40/60 87oct/e85 mix before the service traction control starts going haywire. I calculate that I get about 97 octane with the blend. Funny it runs like a champ and never throws a code but messes up the traction control and turns off DOD. The power increase seems big and the exhaust smell of a distillery is addicting.
On my 2002 GTP I had the flex fuel gold hooked up to run e85 and never had a problem on 100% e85 but I haven't bought injector adapters to run the flex fuel on the monte.
