Default Wheel bearings - Does price matter?

Hey everybody, I recently discovered my wheel bearings are going out on both front wheels. They have a little bit of play in them when you wiggle them from the top and bottom. Everything else seems to be in check. Buy I write this thread to ask is it worth the money to buy an expensive brand? I know that china made stuff usually breaks quicker, and I know this car needs the plug for the abs module. But this is the newest car I have owned, and every other car I have had I just buy whatever brand I buy at it lasts me well over 80k! I seen these cheap ones on ebay

Would it be worth it to spend more on an expensive bearing? Thank you for your help!

All I can say is that in our shop we've pretty well stopped installing cheaper wheel bearings due to their high failure rate. Either the bearing itself fails or the ABS sensor/wiring have issues. You do get what you pay for.

I've got about 10k or so on a pair of cheap ones off eBay and I haven't had any issues yet. Only 10k though of course

X2

We don't sell the cheaper bearings anymore either. I saw way too many cheaper ones come back with issues within months. Timken or Moog is what we usually recommend now. With Moog, you get a 3 year warranty too.

Both bearings for $60 on Ebay? That price scares the **** out of me lol

Don't buy cheap - unless you just can't afford to buy more expensive parts.

I went 155,000 on stock GM wheel bearings, so I replaced them with AC Delco replacements. I was able to get mine off amazon for $147. Hoping it will last another 150k.
