I love my hood though it was my fav mod and gets the most looks for the money!!!
I dont think they will discount the hood because the shipping is so much!!! when i bought mine a full size semi showed up in front of my house with just the hood in a crate!!!lol
Also if u do buy one make sure u open the box and look it over very well before the truck driver leaves!!! I didnt when i got mine and after I had it painted there was a low spot on the drivers side not a big deal but I notice it!!! I have a black car so i notice everything!!!lol

It took about 3 weeks to get my CF hood from PFYC. I think we paid a little over 1100 IIRC. The fit and finish was perfect. The hood is packed tight.
I ended up cutting the bottom side of the hood out to allow the heat to escape, since everything is pretty much sealed. I wish their was a way to make the hood more functional. It saves 7-12lbs and is more cosmetic then anything else. Way over priced!
Personally, I would rather cut the factory hood and bond a 4"-6" cowl to it. This would allow a lot of heat to escape, and would feed cool air from the windshield to the upper portion of the engine when cruising.
