Default New Member!

Just picked up my 07' GXP last Thursday. Dark Gray, 110,000 miles. Extremely clean and well taken care of. She's still running the original tranny that seems to be ok but i'm gonna be proactive and budget for a TEP street/strip this summer. First mods besides that will be exhaust...duh . Hopefully gonna post some pics soon once I figure out the best way to do it. I have them on my iphone right now. I'm good with people and cars, bad with computers! Looking forward to being on the forums

Yeah that is definitely on my list as well. I'm getting the exhaust dirt cheap and then I know the transmissions in these are a huge priority so all my mod money will be going there first then I know I have more room to be creative. It will be nice not having the threat of a fried tranny hanging over my head, I drive it like such a sissy right now haha.

To mitigate the problem you could spend the money now getting yourself a trans cooler and a diablow setup to get rid of the dod I would highly and I mean highly recommend these mods along with a catch can. An basic tune up

Again all on my list haha. I'm not too concerned with a tranny cooler as I live in Minnesota. Right now mine trans temp never exceeds 160 degrees no matter how hard I drive it. Once I get the new trans i'll be adding that. Definitely not dropping my AFM.

Most guys on here actually see an increase of about 2 mpg in the city and a decrease of about 2 mpg on the highway when deleting DOD. However you won't burn 1-2 quarts of oil in a 3000 mile period anymore, and you won't have to worry about hearing the noise the lifters like to make when changing from 4 cyl to 8 cyl. Just food for thought

That is indeed food for thought. I'll definitely look into it, if it's true there isn't a large drop in highway mileage. Thanks for the tip

dod/afm is great on paper you may lose a fraction on your highway mileage but the tradeoff is your tranny lasting longer and not losing a **** load of oil

Mankato! Good college town. Spent a weekend up there with my cousin at UMN and a buddy at Bethany back in '06 or so.

What'd you pay if you don't mind me asking?

Not bad, wonder why there are no hits on my car on CL for $8200 even

Love the color, it was one of the few I would have bought one of these cars in.
