Default missfire cyl 6

I have a miss fire on cyl 6 , only does it when it is at idle , sometimes but not always . I changed plugs a week ago. When it misses it ticks . Any thoughts ? Also which one is cyl 6 ?

Check the gap and make sure the plug wire is tight. Google ls1 firing order and use the serp belt as your origin point.

Have you scanned it to see which code it is exactly? Is it just saying P0306?

Check the wires to the coil, look for a cut in wire casing or exposed wire. Check the fuel injector as well.

I looked that them all was good, what I did is replaced the spark plug with one of the old ones. Maybe the plug went bad? is that a possibility ?

You can swap cylinder 6s coil with another cylinders coil and see if the misfire moves to that cylinder.

You say you swapped an old plug in, was it still misfiring with the old plug? Do you have a check engine light on?

you need to verify the whole harness that runs to the connector for the coils, sometimes the wire will break int the retaining clip and cause whacky connections. id pull lightly on each wire to make sure.

Just say **** it and run it on 7 cylinders. Still better than a four banger.
