Default Guys with TEP trannies. Come on in.

How long of a break in period did you guys give your car after the trans install? Dave told me maybe 100 miles if any but that seems a little low. Basically I wanna know how long til I can mash on this muh fugga. Speed is like crack for me and I'm fiending. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks.

It took a bit longer than that to get everything shifting smoothly. But I'd say 100 is a pretty good estimate.

I went about 100 too. Feet, that is. Maybe don't follow my example.

I hit a 100 miles before I made it back into IL. Dave said that didn't count. Needs to be stop and go traffic, and don't just flip the switch. Work your way into it over a couple of days.

if he says 100 id do that since he is the one who is warranting it.

mine did take about 500 miles or so till the transmission stopped shifting harshly.

Is there a way to reset everything for a faster learn processs? I know on the Duramax trucks with Allison transmissions that is what they recommend. I didn't know if there was a way to do that on our cars as well.

Dave recommends you reset your adapts if that's what you mean. Either way you're still going to need at least 100 miles city driving to break it in good.
