The rest of the LS family has different entry shapes and overall size off the opsu housing. I already went this route after ordering a ls1 and 2 block off plate and either the bolts won't line up or the port doesn't line up. Hence why I went with the glwshift adapter.
No drilling tapping nothing.
I still have the corvette opsu and here's a side by side. The ls4 housing still has the adapter plus opsu in it.

Could you please flip your calipers around and stick the other ends inside of the holes and measure them that way for both pieces? Also, could you switch over to millimeters?

Kinda good news.
Elongate the holes on the corvette piece a little since I'm going to assume that the threaded parts is in the block. Then use the corvette gasket as well.
That way, once both corvette pieces are torqued down, the extra opening on the LS4 oil pan won't be an issue as the oil won't have anywhere to go other than the smaller hole opening of the corvette piece. The gasket is there are a buffer.

You could also just consider a oil filter relocation kit as well.
Corvette piece is 12mmx32mm
LS4 piece is 15mmx37mm

Quick question - what's the best/safest way to clean everything?
My spare VLOM has been sitting and is dirty.
I was going to clean the aluminum with brake clean once disassembled but unsure as to what to use on the solenoids? Sensor safe cleaner or something?

Not directly, most of us are modifying these to facilitate install of a non-ls4 style intake which yields big hp gains.

Sir - question for you.
The grooves in the bolt holes that bolt the tray down; I notice in the photos that some are there, some are missing, etc.
Do you require these or can all of them be removed prior to install?
