turning off 08 impala ss stability control? first off, does my car have it, because ive held it down for like 10 seconds, and it doesnt display a new message. was wondering if we had it and how to disable it

As far as i know only the late 08 models came with it like 3-5 of 08 and if nothing happed when u held the tc button u dont have it from what i know

I have an 08 and it doesn't turn off holding the traction button, but that is apparently the way to do it.
Why do you want to turn it off? Are you getting the stabilitrak warning? Mines been doing that, makes the car stop accelerating and it is awful. Pretty sure it is caused by a loose hub bearing. Just had one of mine replaced and it is still happening. Gonna have to see if there is another loose one.
