06 GXP vs. non supercharged cobra??

06 GXP vs. non supercharged cobra?? There is this kid at school with a non supercharged cobra that is wanting to race me. What do you think guys? Do I have a chance? I think he has exhaust but thats about it I think. All I have is mufflers and a K&N filter.

I have a buddy with a 98 non supercharged cobra from a dig i kill him from a roll its about even with all my mods

Are those Cobra's manual? If so then you probably have a good chance. I find that a lot of kids with fast cars can't shift as quick as they think they can lol. One of my friends has a Ram SRT10 and although he should be able to beat a lot of trucks he gets murdered every time just cause he misses gears or is slow shifting.
1999 Cobra puts about 260-265 to the wheels and weighs a little less than an LS4 car.
Based on your mods, he's probably got 20-30 WHP on you, so he SHOULD win. Of course, there are lots of variables (is he a manual, can he drive, can YOU drive, etc.), so the only way to know is run him and be sure to get some video!

Thanks for the input guys! Im trying to hold out until I get new tires. My current ones are completely bald. I think I can hang with him if we do a 40 roll. He'll probably have to start in 2nd gear and I can start in first.

U would want to do a 30 roll if your gonna roll him being your 1-2 is around 44 on a stock tune and your 2-1 is low 30s but i don't have tap shift so probably doesn't mean **** to you my famous words (if u race roll it only shows who has more money if you race from a dig it shows who knows how to drive)

And I would love to go from a dig. I just need to get some tires first so i can hook. And I need to practice a bit at getting my launch perfect.
