Youd have to figure out a new mount situation, after thats figured out youd need to fugure out a CV axle replacment, as h body cars have typically longer shafts. After that you just need to figure out the electronics and youre all set.
Personally id stick with the 4T80/N*star, Turbo that ****** and be on your way.

Isn't there some issue with mating the 4T80 and LS4 in our cars? Why would it fit better in the STS? 
I think it'd be interesting to see this work though, especially considering that before I got my GXP I had an SLS (torque-tuned N* as opposed to the HP-tuned STS).

You need a starter boss alternative if you want to use a 4t80... The LS4 starter mounts on the LS4 specific 4t65. Otherwise it should look smaller in the engine bay because it doesn't have the N* overhead cams.
Yea the 4t80 is to big for the ls4 block unfortunately. The sts already has the 4t80 with the northstar. Too bad, that 4t80 can handle some serious power
