Default Limited Slip

Does a limited slip help our vehicles in a drag racing application. They are extremely pricey.....if you can find one and I have seen varying opinions on the benefits received. Torsen used to make one but those were discontinued around 2008. My research has only turned up the Quaife but again price is 1500 plus.
QDF18B is the part number from them. Thanks for your comments.

Chevy boasted about how well the power was laid down to both wheels equally , We can easy do double wheel burn outs without peg legging because for the most part they are balanced. The only thing it helping with allot is cornering where one wheel has significantly more weight and the other easily brakes traction and spins out and causes the differential score protection to kick in.

That seems to be the consensus view the open diff seems to work fine for drag racing in our cars. I cant justify almost 2K when I dont even have my TEP trans yet
