Monsoon 6x9 replacements?

Monsoon 6x9 replacements? Im thinking about new 6x9s to replace my stock ones. A couple questions. First what ohm rating should they be? Ive heard people say 2ohm but the ones in my car now say 4ohm on thr speakers? Basically what one will be best? Next what would be better/ easier to wire up. 2 or 3 way and what will sound better? Last Kicker or JBL? Looking for good bass without having to add subs and also want good sound. This is on my gxp.
I need to replace all of my speakers.
I'm also not sure what speaker to go with but you'll want some 2 ways back there and you will have to splice into the new speaker. It's not plug and play. You'll be sending the mid/highs to the mids/highs of the speaker and the lows to the lows.
That or you could bypass the Monsoon amplifier.

Speakers Went with infinity kappas and alpine amp 4 channel don't use center speaker kappas come with new tweeters just box your monsoon amp only thing is that when radio comes on it don't say monsoon dammitt
I have a 2004 pontiac grand prix comp G and i have finally figured out how to get 6x9's with the factory monsoon system. Highs, and Lows. I purchased a set of Infinity kappa 3 way 6x9's which are amazing by the way. First step cup the built in crossovers of the infinity speakers. They will be three wires white, black, and red. The white wire is for your tweeters + the red is for woofer + and the black is ground or negative. The four speaker wires that come out of the factory speaker harness need to be spliced. Connect the tweeter + (white) from the infinity to the tweeter + on the monsoon speaker harness. The infinity woofer +(red) to the monsoon speaker harness, and the black or ground wire to either - wire on the factory monsoon harness. What this does is send the highs directly to the infinity's tweeters and the lows to the infinitys woofer. (The magnets on these things are huge!) After putting one speaker in i moved the sound from the infinity to the stock one and noticed the infinity's were slightly louder probably do to their sensitivity rating. Meaning it takes less power to create the same volume.
