yeh its odd, i went out to correct my tire pressure i had rubber down both sides of the car. Odd that an open diff car would spin both equally, every other front wheel drive open diff car ive owned only spun one.

I know they don't have an LSD, but I didn't think it was a true open diff either. Could our "HD" version have something internally different. Something torque sensing that applies more power to the wheels?

Dunno that there is anything different about our diff, thats something dave from TEP would have to comment on. As far as air pressure goes, on a radial street tire with stiff side walls, you dont want to go under 20psi generally speaking, the lower you go with the pressure the actual center of the tire in the contact patch will start to bow in as the sidewalls remain stiff. I dropped them to about 22psi and they wound up inflating themselfs up to about 27-28psi just from heat alone. I inflate the rears to 40psi and they wind up going up another 3psi as well to reduce rolling resistance from the rear tires.

We have the same HD diff as the 3800 supercharged cars have, just a open diff. Unless you ordered one from ep performance or happened to come across a Uber rare gmr diff.

Ok thanks. So I guess all these ls4 cars one wheel peel at the track? Then its no wonder they hook for ****, just another GM failure to add to the list.

They still spin both but don't count it always burning both wheels at certain steering angles.

Not bad for air density, one thing I did to help with temp is as I'm slowing down to make the turn off the strip to come back I pop the hood latch this allows alot of air to pass through the engine Bay as you get your slip and head to the main area to park.
