Yes mine leaks there as well. I had a friend with a lift and air tools really tighten that clamp down while I held it firmly in place so it didn't twist. It's doing better but not great. And the best part about working on that is how itchy you get with the fiberglass! Lol

Does it throw off your fueling? Smell in the cabin?

Yes I've had issues with false lean due to the leak. And yes I can also smell it in the car when I have the air and stuff on.

Every couple of months I'll loosen the clamp and push the exhaust back up to re seat it

This may be a stupid question but can this just be completely welded in that area before installing instead of clamping , and make a cut farther down to attach?

Now I remember why I wasn't going to do headers lol. Is there any way to have this setup maintenance free?

Shaun daddo has a full dual setup, but the concept is the same have 3bolt flange welded at the ends where that part is and never have to deal with it again, or a quality vband
