Default collapsed lifter? Are LS7 lifters the replacemant?

Ok I pulled my valvecover in my 09 Impala after not being able to figure out what caused my cyl #4 misfire. After pulling the valvecover I see this. Now I will replace the lifters and then have the DOD tuned out. Are the LS7 lifters a oem upgrade to the stock ones?

Yes, you'll need some new buckets for them as well. You also might want to check pushrod length. Even though they're the stock replacement it's very possible you'll need a different length of pushrod.

While you have the cover off I would at least remove the rocker and spray some carb clean down the pushrod tube, see if its just stuck.Probably not but worth a try.

Not much of an upgrade, the ls7 is the same as a ls2 lifter. Nothing special about them other than marketing the ls7 name. Anything is better than he dod lifters though.....
