Default 2007 monte now hesitates.

2007 ls4 now has a hesitation from stop to WOT.
I used to get off the line at .343 sec's - now I'm at 1.4+ with a hesitation the cause; idles fine. Changed a/f and had injectors cleaned at a shop. Spark plus are in good shape. Also cleaned throttle body and re-lubed (off car with new gasket)
She's bone stock and really pissing me off.

Your ideas / thoughts much appreciated.

Maybe ohm test the wires. You are sure it isn't the transmission, correct?

transmission is not slipping, she actually wants to run but "bogs out" than let's lose.

I'm thinking something isnt getting correct voltage signals. This coming weekend I'm gonna clean all engine related connections. Or perhaps something is on its way to failing but hasn't set a fault code yet.

All ideas are welcome and appreciated.

Try some CRC QD electronic cleaner on the connections and maybe add some dielectric grease if applicable.

Check everywhere for vacuum leaks as well. Good luck. Post back your findings

One more thought, the throttle position sensor is built into the throttle body. Not sure if that can be taken apart, depending on the mileage if all else fails I would consider replacing the TB .

** spent a few hrs today working out the problem. Vacuum hoses are tight, electronic connections cleaned, plugs and mas was changed a few weeks ago. Found a slight split in the rubber intake, about 2 inches from throttlebody on the underside - temp taped it closed with electrical tape until I get a c.a.I. Unable to confirm fix right now..it's raining in Florida right now.

Confirmed repair. Quick disconnect vacuum line leaking at WOT just after maf sensor and split in the rubber intake. Don't know if directly related but vss went bad also. Both problems repaired and no more hesitation. To much wheel spin now for regular street tires.
