New site for us

New site for us
Chris Green has been working on putting together a site for the LS4 W-bodies, and opened it up just a little bit ago. You can check it out at www.ls4wbody.com
Hopefully if we get a pretty good sized community built up, it will help leverage some companies into developing products for us.

The site says "validating" for you. Try going here http://www.ls4wbody.com/forum/index.php?showuser=13 and poke around, try and find a way to resend the validation email, and double check the email address you used. Hope that helps.

Yeah, the technical knowledge here is great. I think the point of the other site is just to gather all the LS4 owners in one group, so that we can show the aftermarket vendors that there is plenty of interest in mods for the LS4

There are plenty of mods already for the LS4. Ported heads, cams, rockers, etc...
I guess you are looking for headers and cold air intakes. Those are bound to happen, mostly from the Impala SS loyalists. We pretty much have all the key LSX related sponsors and manufacturers here, and they are easy to reach. Send a few PM's to the ones that make those parts (like Vararam perhaps) and get him a local car to volunteer. Patrick is a good guy, he would probably design an intake for those cars.

I didn't know the truck 5.3 was an LS4?? Is it?? I was under the impression the truck 5.3 was a Vortec 5.3 (no LS designation, not sure of the "code"), I thought the LS4 is an all aluminum engine and about an inch shorter in length to fit in our car's?

The LS4's parts are interchangeable with most of the other LSX based engines. Just like LS1 heads will bolt onto an LS2 and vice-versa. Many of us use 6.0L LQ4 truck heads on our LS1s to drop the compression ratio down for boosted applications. Basically, if you have a Gen III or Gen IV smallblock V8, just about all of the internal parts are already developed.
Anyone have any pics of the LS4 outside of a car? Or at least with the intake manifold removed? I'm wondering if it is LS1 based or LS2 based. (gen 3 vs gen 4).
So, you guys should have these available:
-stroker kits
-ported heads
-camshafts
-intake manifolds
-lifters
-timing chains
-rocker arms
All that is really needed is headers and a cold air intake, the rest is already developed.
Who will be the first to stick an LS-based 454ci into their new Impala SS

Do you guys have DOD? It is not the same, the cam is not even close to the LS1/6 or LS2, and the intake opening & (TB) is on the back side of the motor, too many things to list and the list is long...
-camshafts
-intake manifolds
-lifters
all of these will not work oh and ON PCM MODS

Dale beat me to it.........If it were only that easy, we can't use anything from the other engines of value, between the FWD application, shorter overall length & DOD...that SUX!!!
