I find the NASCAR edition Monte Carlo a little gaudy, maybe it just the grills look so bad it ruins the look of the car.

speaking of the 07 Monte has anyone else noticed that there are only 2 engine choices now, either the 3.5 or the 5.3. I wonder if GM is going to phase out the Monte.

GM is going to dump most of its FWD vehicles if all goes as they plan.

Monte, Impala, Lucerne, and Grand Prix are the only fwd cars that are supposed to be going anywhere at this point. Cobalt, Malibu, G5, G6, Ion replacement, Aura, Vue, Equinox, Torrent, 9-2,9-3, 9-5, etc will still be fwd, along with Holden, Opel, and Vauxhall equivliants of these cars. The Delta and Epsilon II platforms are modern and are not going anywhere, just the W-body and the big front wheel drive g-body platform.

I stand corrected... also did not know that those small SUV models were FWD.

lol, sorry for the off topic SidewaysLS4... I actually like the stripes as is on that car in the first post. Maybe if the front stripes came down a little farther, but not all the way.

Yeah I like the stripes but they should be on the roof of the car and atleast go all the way down the bumbers.

I work for a supplier to G.M. in Oshawa. From what I've been hearing the Monte Carlo's last production run is 2007.
