Holy crap! A 14.89 @ 96.91 from a 6.0 GTO!?!? I have a 04 5.7 GTO, and most of em my year are running 13.10-13.7X bone stock!!! That GTO should have run very low 13's! Thats a sweet looking SS Monte by the way! Love the white!!!

The GTO, which is also mine, ran a best of a 14.3@97mph.... The car was being babied out of the hole... as it only has 1000 miles on the clock..
Also, you will not run as fast as you think up here at this altitude. So it doesn't matter what 04 GTO's are running elsewhere, what does matter,
is what would they run here at a DA of 6100ft..

Absolutely, that is why the Monte only runs a high 14 low 15 up here.
So to say that Montes run low 14's stock at a lower elevation track doesn't
mean much here. All cars suffer up here yet we still have some very fast cars, cars that would be even faster at a more friendly DA....
The playing field is level but the boosted cars get a advantage. My SRT trapped 125mph up here and at that time it only made 480hp.
So sometimes when a kill story is posted about a stock SRT or a Cobalt beating a GTO/Mustang/Camaro, it is very possible at higher altitudes...

Never woulda thought a MCSS could hang with a GTO! New found respect for the MCSS, as I would say the GTO is a good benchmark. I was just happy my daily driver had a V8, and exhaust and intake was all I was going to do, now your making me want to spend more money ...
Up north here the GTO should do a 13.8 and MCSS folks are posting 13.8 /.9's.
