TQ Converter Stall
If you really beat it, you can flash it to 3500... thats w/o tranny abuse mode turned on of course.
But yeah the converters are really loose in these things stock, it feels exactly like a 3500 stall i put in a colorado pick up i had looseness wise.
It would prolly pick up big gains like a F body or vette does, but traction will be even harder to find with a higher STR yet.

i have braked mine up to 3200. mashed the gas and floored the gas.
with sticky tires, like et streets or drags, if you could get it too hook, would launch like a bitch. if it didn't break anything in the process.
so, in short, 2800 seems more like it to me
