XM to Sirius
Is there a way to turn you XM radio in the 07s to Sirius? or are you stuck with XM?
I know some of the older GM models you could change to Sirius.
Just ordered my 07 Imp SS. I am trading the truck in for it. Should be here Thursday but i will be out of town so i cant get it till Saturday.

I talked with GM and XM and they told me there is no way to change your XM to Sirius, and they went on to say there is talk about a merge. I am trying to do the same, but now waiting to see if the merge goes through, trying to save some money.

Sirius makes a unit that works with stock GM radios... I believe it even works with the HUD.

works fine to me!
im sure there is a way to get it to work with your stereo system.
all else fails, install a sirius ready head unit.

Just get a portable unit. I have the Sportster and it has a built in FM modulator. It kinda sucks having it suction cuped to the windshield but I can move it from my car to my work truck to home if I want, with only the one subscription.

Tried cracking into the Monsoon system on my Z this past summer, to replace the head unit with an nice XM after-market set-up. Was told that basically everything needed to be replaced, including the small gaged wiring harness.
From what I gathered from the conversation, GM Monsoon systems are tuned to work as a system, with little room for replacing just one component.
So, I got a XM Roady II and hard-wired it to the radio. Used a Pro-Fit VSM http://www.pro-fit-intl.com/mount.htm to mount it, just popped the dash bezel off, installed behind the radio, and looked great! Save the suction cup mount for the radar detector.
XM, Sirius, who cares - they OWN FM!!! Greatest invention since cable TV IMO. Haven't listened to broadcast in 3 years.

If a 300 pounder sits in the passenger seat, they might get a little close. But then again, a 300 pounder would barely fit in a Camaro anyway.

Sirius has NFL, Nascar, Stern, and better music. Clearly better IMO.
