Default a lil review of stuff

a two for one.
i know they aren't sponsors here, but please do not delete it. the people must know!

first, tunetime/wester ecm/tcm
for a long time, it was hard to get someone to mod an ecu to the way you wanted it. not so much anymore. when i first got my gxp, i was doing a lot of searchs, sent e-mails to lots of people regarding gxp "tuning" matt pointed me in the right direction. got what i wanted done, and then some. after three different ecm/tcm's we got my car to run like a screamer {as much as 300 some off hp can} sharing info back and forth on mods, how our cars were doing, what else we can do to make them faster. him helping me out, me helpin him out, to a degree at least. to say the least, him, and lyndon got my car pretty much figured out. as much as one can over a mail order "tune" can be. there is more in the works for my car, and westers/tunetime comming out with new stuff that is pretty much first to market that will be an awesome thing. so, for what these two have done, is beyond great!!!

hogan performance
went out a couple weeks ago and talked with curt about doing some exhaust work. me being the person i am, i have to be the first when doing something.
came back saturday to get the work done. most professional exhaust shop i have been at in a long time, understood what i was going for, and what we could do. he had questions regarding my gxp, what i had done, who did the tuning, so on and so forth. what i have now is a true bolt on 3 inch dp, w/o out cat, and a rear 02 bung which houses the rear 02 sensor. which in short does nothing, since i was turned off per my request. the car is louder, more pronouced that it has a v8. it pulls so much better from 45 up it's a night and day difference. gone is most of the dead spot that people complain about. much smoother power then before. none of that "vtec" feeling at 70 mph. the car actually runs cooler now too!

so, there ya have it, my review, a long time in the making. both of these guys are stand up and stand behind their work 110%. if it's not right, they will do everything they can to make it right.

I made the Hogan 3" off road DP work off of a L67 for mine. Just made it louder, no difference in performance that i can tell so... 1/4 miles times proved no diff either.

In hindsight, cheap alternative to cutting up stock cat back to make it louder.

But it sounds like when im in the KC area for work this june we will have to line 'em up. I should have working spray on it by then, only will be a 75 dry shot. More than plenty.

i was doing it mainly to get rid of the cat and u-bend. the v8 cars are not as bad in this area. but still there is a few ponies to be had regardless.
