Exhaust w/no mufflers
Flow's sound too tinny like a 3.1 V6 and magna flow is to expensive, this firts the bill for me.

1) It is raspy, almost like cheap exhaust
2) I like my Magnaflow because it doesn't droan/get annoying at highway and in DoD mode. That sounds like it would droan bad. Maybe it doesn't. .

Iknow how buffalos sounds w/catback.
I know how yours sounded with only downpipe.
I also listened to the other guy but I forgot what he had done.
I just wish I could hear every style. I want the hogan w/cat and 3in all the way back. I wonder if I should leave res or take it out. I think I will spend alot before I have it the way I want.

Hey, if you DON'T do 3" and want a set of MagnaFlow tips (the ones that come on the MF cat back (4" tips on 2.5" piping) i'll be getting rid of a set soon. They shipped me replacements for my two left tips but i had already had the one turned the right way and re-welded. I'll be putting them on eBay soon.
Ive had many people tell me its quite loud and they can hear me two cars ahead of them when taking off at a stop light.
Im up inthe air as to cut the mufflers off quite yet i guess. Im trying to go for this goal of decent HP and as much stock parts as i can keep in place.

just leave ur gear selector on 3rd. then it wont go into 4 cyl mode

I also tuned some fueling stuff, and even though I'm always on 8 cyl.'s and getting a lot more power now, I'm getting better mileage than I was with the DOD on.

Another confusing thing to me is why did the Z's come from the factory w/o a resonator, yet the same LSx engine in the W-Body's have the resonator? Dual cats versus single? 2 inch D/P? My thoughts are carry over S/C'd V6 engineering.
My plans are to program out the DoD in the spring, install the Hogan D/P, and possibly remove the resonator. Don't know how far I will go with the sound though because I need a car that I can entertain with if needed.
