Default Looking for factory NAV/DVD for GXP

Does anyone no where I could find one for sale besides the dealership?

I called the dealership after i got my GXP and they told me they couldnt put the NAV in one that didnt come with it from the factory now im not sure if its a diffrent harness or the dealership is just lazy.

I am pretty sure you can do it. In fact, I think it has been done. There are some wiring issues as far as getting it to say the directions and stuff, but was not impossibly hard.

There are other in-dash nav units, but the stock one links to the HUD which is pretty darn cool (I like gadgets).

Yeah I think the nav on the HUD is great! I test drove all the cars without the NAV DVD's in so once I finally bought the car and had the DVD in it was a surprise the directions showed up on the HUD. I wonder how many people dont know that it does that before they buy the car?

I bench assembled the NAV system out of a Caddy STS a couple years back, needed $8000 worth of radio, NAV head unit, cd changer, amp wire harness, body controllers and of all things - GM speakers.

Can be done, but more than likely your car has "non NAV" components to save the almighty $$$.

It has been done by someone on ClubGP. All they added was the VSS wire. Everything else functioned normally.

As Kaz mentioned, it would probably be easier to go the aftermarket route since GM decided to albeit connect everything to the damn radio...
