new 2006 Impala SS

if I can get a brand new 2006 Impala SS for $25900 out the door (including tax, title, registration, and doc fees) would that be a good deal?

Likley, what else is on it? Sunroof leather, 6 CD changer or single XM?

If it was a loaded '06SS then yeah, but if not, i'd say you can do better.

it's got leather, sunroof, 6disc Bose steroe, XM, heated front seats with power driver and passenger

That sounds like an awesome deal. If you buy that you'll have a nice looking practical 4 door sedan with a big trunk that is good in the snow...and will be quicker than your GTO.

Yes sir, out the door for that price, it's a good deal. I guess they are really trying to sell the remaining 06 in stock.

It's not that good of a deal, IMHO, because that car is 1.5 years old already.

Only $24k for a new 06 isn't bad. $25,900 is including the taxes and fees. Getting Eddie's point, talk them into giving you an extended warranty for nothin' and then go for it.

I thought GM extended their 5/100k warranty to 2006 still on dealers' lots and GM certified used vehicles. Seems I read that somewhere.

Seems a little high to me though for an '06. You are doing them as much a favor as they are you (keeping an '06 around ain't helping them any). I would think $24k out the door (before any trades or downpayments) would be fair.

I bought mine in Sept and got a good deal, but not this good. I agree on the ext warranty, would be a plus. This is at least 6k of MSRP and the 06 has a PCM you can update. For the same car as the 07 I'd save the cash in a sec.
