Got my Flowmasters put on!!! (56k no)
Well, I got my exhaust done today. Here's what I did: Flowmaster 40 Series Deltaflow mufflers, 3" from the cat to the Y, res delete, 2.5" from the Y to the mufflers, dual walled chrome tips 2.5" in to 3.5" out (thanks to BuffSS for finding these). IMO, the video kinda makes it sound like a Magnaflow system, at least the video clips of them, but it's really not a true representation of the sound, close though. What do you expect from a microphone that's only 1/8" long?
Anyway, I'm real happy with what I got, but I'm not sure how long I can go w/o the resonator? Enjoy!!!

Corny40 who did this for you and how much did it run you. I'm in San Antonio and that is by far one of the better "made" set ups I've ever seen on a W-body. If the price was right I might be taking a 2 1/2 hr road trip.

I know. I know. I was in a hurry. I know that's not a good excuse, but it's the only one I have.
Or, are you talking about the "quality?"

Yeah, I thought you'd like them.
Well, the drive home was LOUD, but I took it out later in the evening and got used to it a little. I am a little worried though, b/c I still have to install my K&N CAI later this week, and that may just send me back to the shop for that resonator. We'll see.

2) I don't really think a CAI or catback will void your warranty. In fact, I'm 99.9% sure the cat back won't. The CAI, I don't know, but you can always put the stock air box back in B4 you take the car in.

Also, an exhaust couldn't possibly void a warranty unless the piping was installed incorrectly and burned a wiring harness or something.. Other than physical damage from the exhaust, what could it hurt on that end of the engine?

Even that info from GM should not void the warranty (at least on other areas).
Would a MAF that is affected like this cause permanent problems to the transmission or other parts or would it just be a temporary issue until the MAF is cleaned?

Would I only notice this bucking at WOT or would it happen on a regular basis. Around my area, I don't get a lot of chance to WOT unless I am on the highway and already moving at a good clip, but I have not noticed any thing thus far.
Hmmm, may be worth cleaning the MAF anyway if the weather is nice enough this weekend.
Thanks Buff
