Default More of the same, but...

Well I finally installed the intense shift kit and the vector iat relocator last night. I was amazed at the diff. With the traction control on, shifting 1-2 will bog the motor and set the yellow warning light flashing. However traction below 30 mph was hopeless on the 40 deg clear evening. At about a 20 mph roll, spun the tires all the way through first gear. The car shifts better for sure. The iat relocator was an after thought not thinking I would notice any diff in power, since there should't be any really. For some reason though the car seems a lot quicker. I think it was $230.00 well spent.

Thats what I was thinking, I was just getting ready for the summer staging lane lines or long stop light sits. Maybe it's all in the shift kit, but I feel like I actually have to hold on to the steering wheel fairly tight now (even when not shifting) when acc. unlike before casually holding on.

the shift kit is awesome. i would what you feel majority of is the shift kit. the way it downshifts, and hits each gear.

Just did a log with Diablo...on my ride home from the dealer...the intake temps with the K&N were within 10* the whole time. Relocating the IAT, like Area said, may be moot until the temps really get up there.

The iat sensor relocation mod if we remember is actaully a heat soak reduction kit. So yes I know it doesn't gain any hp, but thoeretically prevents a loss of hp in a high heat situation, such as idling at a stop light on a hot even warm day or in the staging lanes on such a day. This kit puts the iat sensor away from the hot engine and more importantly reacts quicker in theory (1 sec vs 14-17 sec) to the cooler incoming air than the stock sensor, wich will signal the ecm sooner to not retard timing and such. So, since it was in the 70's on Wed and Thurs, I had the time, and am going to Norwalk MONDAY, APRIL 16 I thought I would hook up that little sensor.

Maybe I should get an iat heat soak kit, hot california weather makes the car a bit sluggish.
