Default Sneak Peek


This is an upcoming hood for the '06-'07 Impala and Monte. Yesterday was the test fit for the frame work and air box so a mold can be made to build the frame out of fiberglass. I was really excited to see what it will look like on the car. Can't wait till it's done.

So you are the guinea now. . . i saw a thread begging for vols a little while ago. . . .no offense if you like it, but I definately don't like it at all. It looks goofy with those two edges of the scoop going all the way out to the front. I would prefer a normal cowl or functional scoop.

have to agree with Eddie, I think it is the answer to a question nobody asked. Does not fit in with the lines of the car. Will be unique though, I doubt very many people will install it. Since you obviously like the look, more power to you.

I think a rounder scoop would look better...its looks a little rice.

None taken however the scoop will be functional Ram Air with the option of heat extractors in the rear. I prefer unusual to the norm so I guess the hood fits my personality

already have the airbox... does the hood come with the seal that goes to the airbox??

Forget the hood... They need to make some aftermarket headlights to replace the fish eyes!

Yeah, tell me about it. I did what i could with black vinyl to reduce the size of these monsters, but it's not enough. I may go home today and try the "bake the headlight on low for 15min" to try to soften the adhesive so that i can pry it apart and paint the chrome housing.

Sorry...back to topic!

Default One more step to go!!!
Got the car back yesterday, with the hood on, so I can test drive it a few days before it gets painted. I love the aggressive look it gives my car. I think the engine sounds even better with the Ram Air and the heat extractors at the rear allow quite a lot of heat to escape the engine compartment. I'm very pleased with the design and quality of work. Let me know what you guys think. Here are some pics.
