Default emergency!!! Car wont start!

Ok, a friend can joke around with ya, but this friend I should beat!!!

Showing how him how I load a tune into my car and he says, " what if I turn off the key, what would it do" then laughs.

I said dont you could mess something up.

I am watching the screen as it says 25%......27%.....30% and then dumbazz turns the key off.

The car will NOT start and had it towed to the dealer. WHat do I do???? What will warrenty say.

In my OBDI Chevy, that would fry your PCM. Hopefully, the dealer can force an overwrite, otherwise you are looking at a new one.

The diablosport programmers can force the back up with the help of their tech line. This happened to me but I did't do anything to cause it.Don't tell the dealer what happened and they should cover it under warranty, mine was.

They know I have a programmer, they said to do it, they are cool, especially since I work there. I just wanted to hear it from some of you guys and see if anyone else has ran into this problem.

When they put a new PCM in, can I still use my programmer and just start over.

Yep, the programmer locks to the vin and the new pcm will of course have the same vin number.

Even if the dealer will not pay for a new PCM the "friend" would be paying.

Note to self: Don't be experimental while tuning with Diablo!
