rim question??? Is there any difference between the 06 impala ss rim and 07? I bent mine and the only replacement i could find was off a 06.

The option was either $375 or $425, iirc, and yes, the new one is pricy.
Look at eBay, lovemyls4. They're there all the time. Do a search for 2006 Impala wheel and include eBay stores in the search. You'll find more than a few single wheels out there...just make sure you get the right one (polished or machined). Or check out rockauto.com...they might have a decent price, too.

Upgrade price ... GM gave you the base / LT rim value toward your SS rims.
Least they gave you that ... in order to buy my Camaro Z28SS, I bought 2 hoods, 2 spoilers, 2 sets of rims, 3 exhaust systems and 2 suspensions before it was even delivered, bringing the "SS" option package to something like $4500 iirc.
(Z28 base purchase / remove Z28 parts to add specific SS parts, then upgrade to the SS upgrade exhaust, which was then removed for the GMMG).
Looks cool though ... LMAO
