STS Turbo Kit
Monte SS
Impala SS
GXP
The kit works on.
"The STS Universal Turbo System comes complete with everything you need to install the turbocharger in a remote location on virtually any vehicle. Universal Turbo Systems require fabrication and do NOT include intake or exhaust tubing, fuel management or tuning."
Which, sadly, means that it is not a bolt on deal. There is much fabrication and no guaranty that it will fit. Probably run you a few thousand to get the extra parts fabricated/altered and installed. It is STS's standard answer to a query regarding something they don't carry. If you call and ask about a 1994 Geo Metro, you would get the same answer as the LS4 cars.
This is a dead end, at least for now.

Anyways, 3 days and the trans was fubar. Had the trans rebuilt by a local GTP guy using all Intense stuff and a Qauife(sp) posi.
Motor was toast in a month, car is gone, and he has a another brand new GXP that will only see bolt ons.
Turbo setup was top notch and badass. Its the car owners "zero" automotive knowledge that killed this car, not the shop that put it together.
anyways, the shop that did it is "not a sponser" here.

::sigh::
no.
dod is a part throttle feature that is shut off over a certain throttle percentage. depending on the exhaust housing, the spool time of the turbo will not be a factor in the dod function.
if you have a turbo that spools at 1/4 throttle you have bigger issues to worry about then dod
Go get your damn transmission built at ZZP or Dynotech. They have some of their race transmissions running 10s and 9s without failure. I hope you didn't expect to add 70% more power and be fine on a stock transmission....and no you don't need new axles.

Let's look at it seriously: THEY SUCK. They are weak and a crappy design to couple with a chevy V8.
And why would you want to spend $5k -$6k on a tranny just so I can spend another $4k-$5k for a STS turbo (read crappy turbo)? Thats cool if I'm racing competitively or sponsored to drive a performance w-body nationally. Nobody here said they want to run 10's or 9's, they just wanted a mild turbo set-up to get 50-100 HP. Most of the guys cars here are their DD, and if I'm going to do 9's, I sure as hell want to be in a RWD drag car, such as a notch or f-bod,
