Default people thinking about downpipes.

if anyone desires a downpipe without a cat, i have one off my old gxp. collecting dust. why? because i don't have an ls4 car anymore.

im tired of looking at this thing.

either you can buy it from me, or i can take it back out to kurt in topeka {hogan performance}

Is it just the stubby one or the "off road" version that bolts right up, flange to flange?

Is there a big advantage of having a cat-less downpipe compared to dp with the high flow cat?

Less restriction... but very illegal in most states. I'd be interested but would need to get a cat welded in place. Guess i'm a p***y like that

I remember seeing someone on Club-GP a long time ago dynoing with a catted DP then again with the same DP without cat and only saw like 3hp in the same type of conditions with the weather and humidity and so on. So I say it's not worth it really. Hell if your that worried about exhaust flow then I say pay the $200-400 and go with a 3" system after the 3" DP. You would loss a little bit of low end torque (might actually be a good thing) but pick up good amounts up top I bet.

It's not the converter itself that is the restriction, but the way the pipe is bent at the O2 sensor and the piece of flex pipe squeazes down to just over 2 inches. Thats what causes the restriction. And by the way I have one very simular for sale also.
