Default Valve springs

just wondering if there are any gains in swapping out the valve springs on these engines. Was thinking about getting a tuner in the future and if i get more top end i'd like to know the valve springs are adequate. thanks

As I don't know know the exact gains, I would estimate 10-15 HP. The beauty of rockers/springs/pushrods is the fact that you can get the engine to rev higher. This makes upping the shift points easier on the engine...without the fear of bending a pushrod.

My MCSS definitely has more pull up top, and the 1-2 shift is soo much firmer and crisper. A tuner optimizes the power of the rockers/springs/and pushrods...so pu that on your list too.
