custom tunes for GXP whats better?
There really is no cut and dry answer to your question, as far as which would be better for your car. You're best off searching this forum and deciding for yourself. I can give you a little info though, to get you started.
I'm not quite sure exactly what you mean by "PREDITOR #6," but I assume you're just talking about the Predator handheld tuner from Diablo Motorsports. Why you call it a "#6" is what really has me confused, but nonetheless....
While I've heard good things about the Vector tune, at best, it is what we call a "canned" tune, meaning it's the same for everyone and not anything special or specific to your car. The major Cons to this one are the fact that you can not modify or "tweak" the tune. It is what it is, and does not have the ability to be changed easily, or at all really. With Vector, you also have to do 1 of 2 things; either pony up $400 to do a core swap (basically a deposit that you get back once you send them the ECM/TCM module from your car) and pay for the tune on top of that, or send them your ECM/TCM modules from your car and be without the use of it until you get the modules back, anywhere from 3 days to over a week, depending on your shipping method. Also, if you have to take your car in for service and they re-flash your ECM/TCM, you lose your tune and have to go through the same process again ($400 or wait to ship) to get it back. It's supposed to be free though.
Now the Predator is slightly better. It comes witha few "canned" tunes, but you have the ability to change a few parameters, thus potentially improving your performance and making the tune specific to/for your car. At the moment there is no TCM support, but hopefully that will change any week now. They're supposed to be working feverishly towards a solution to that issue "as we speak"
Probably the best option for performance increases with our, or anyone's car for that matter, is to go with HPTuners. The main cons to this option though are the fact that you have to have a laptop and you really need to know what you're doing, as far as tuning, to get the most benefit.
Well, good luck.
the pre-set tunes work very well and yes, it will give you performance you can feel and tell there's a difference...
and if you dial in the tune/fueling, you will notice even more giddy-up...
I'm sure there's someone around here that can help you dial it in even more...
