MSD LS1 Spark Plug Wires

I dont believe they will add any HP to your car. They might help with better spark, but thats a maybe if that.
When I had my 04 S/C Monte, I put on the PRJ Performance race wires and it did seem to help with the spark, but the OEM ones from GM are a great wire, I would just leave them in there and use that money towards a CAI or something like that.

I second that. I have changed plug wires to "high performance" a couple times in the past & didn't notice a diff. You can change your entire ignition system and IMO you will not notice much of a diff if that's all you do.

unless your current ones are shot no, the benefit of the msd wires is that they have low resistance but the ls1's have powerful coils about 6 inches from the plug making the resistance of the plug wires rather important.

the stock coils are IMHO alittle better then the MSD ones out there. I know alot of guys who used the MSD and then had problems with them, so they went back to stock with no problems. Really I would think you would need to re do the whole ignition system with a starter box and all the goodies and "then" you might see a difference, but not enough to spend that kind of money on.

I changed my stock plug wires to the MSD LS1 plug wires. Didn't notice much of a difference, I did add the heat protective space boots also.

The last factory GM ignition that needed an upgrade was the '95 and older LT1 ignitions. I'm not talking about the optispark either, it sucked in general, but the coil/ignition wasn't very good at the rpms above 5k. Upgrading it to an aftermarket, Like I did on mine back then did help. But since '96, GM's V8 ignitions haven't really left anything to be desired. And now with the short plug wires that LSx engines use, there really is no room for electrical losses like in older longer plug wires. There just isn't much point to upgrading wires, or the ignition unless you're going to spin that engine towards 8k rpms.
