Default forced induction/nitrous

anyone know of and forced induction/nitrous systems that would work on to 07 impala ss?

There is a guy over @ ClubGP who was a turbo GXP...most system are going to run $2,000 plus fabrication materials: all piping, headers, BOV's, wastegates...etc. Turbo systems look to be about $4,000-$6,000.

As for superchargers and centrifugal superchargers, there not much there yet.

Nitrous can be fabbed up quite easily...you can use the NOS fogger kit. People are just afraid of spraying to hurt the relatively weak tranny in our cars. Many people have used 120 dry/60 wet kits to boost their performance, just make sure you get a window switch so you don't spray into the redline.

Ran into a guy at a car show a few weeks back running 100hp dry shot. Drilled and tapped end of his K&N FIPK filter. said he had stock tranny and engine and no issues. He also noted using a window switch so he isn't juicing at the shift points. Only been on for approx. 2500 miles though. i'd be interested to see if it's still doing ok. I don't have the ***** to put nitrous to my GXP.

I have been running a 100 dry shot for a couple months now. No problems at all. I Just bought dynotune's kit for Ls1 f-bodies. I also put my nozzle at the end of my K&N. I use an activation switch under the pedal. I just lift slightly at the shift points. Works for me.

Yeah I've seen that thread, I just for some reason (?) don't like mounting points, location, and piping of the STS version. The cartuning looks like a better set-up overall.

Looks? Have you seen pics? That thread hasn't been bumped for a while, so I just emailed cartuning a few minutes ago...we'll see what they say.

There was a turbo thread on ClubGP with cartuning pics of a 5.3 turbo.

Its probably gone in the dusty corners of the forum, since those guys can chit chat and fill a server like a bunch of teenage girls on AIM .

that's because very few are doing any hardcore mods and the technical threads disappear into oblivion

That's because >99% of the members there own 3800's If you have a 3800 there is plenty of **** over there

That girls on AIM comment was hilarious though, lol.

I'm still waiting for you LSX guys to figure out the heads/cam aspect of these cars and then you'll find one in my driveway.

As for transmissions, I would think that vendors like ZZP would be able to build one for you......

Anyone tried to mount a twin screw or roots blower on an LS4? I know the Kennebell's and Whipple's sit up real high and would probably call for a taller hood, but the Magnuson's are somewhat lower. They might fit under the hood and should bolt right up to a 5.3. It's worth researching, those are some nice blowers that make reasonable power.
