Anyone using EFI Live? I see several disappointed Diablo Sport users. Just wondering.

Lots of people use EFILive, It is amazing at what it does and the abilities it gives to the consumer.

Download the free trail and check it out, then call me with any questions.

I use HP Tuners, better application for our cars, plus the VCM tuning suite allows for TCM changes too....

What...??? TCM Changes??? That cant be. The higher powers of Diablosport say they are 30-60 days away with their GM tech guy, so how can you guys offer it if Diablosport cant? This is really strange....

LOL...

Anyways, My custom tune was done with EFI live on the dyno and it was great. The price to buy it is kinda high, but it is worth it. WOuld I say its better then HP Tuners. No, I wouldnt. HP is still a soild Tuner.

we need a lower cost diablosport alternative in a nice simple package. Not another HP Tuner. If this were more around $300 or so dollars, I would consider it. If I'm going to spend 500+, I'll buy an HP in which my community can help me with.

IMO, hypertech sucks....I didn't know that EFI live had TCM tuning section... learn something new everyday.

I just got my TCM programmed with EFI Live. My shift points are set at 6050. We increased the line pressure on the upshifts by 15% and took out all of the torque management. The upshifts feel really good now. With torque management removed it does not grab second but it is a much firmer shift. We will do the engine Monday. They did not send the ECM for the engine. The tranny will probably have to be tweaked again after the engine is done. The car pulled good after the 1-2 shift compared to stock. I don't know if those changes alone made it any faster but it does feel better.

By the way, I was the lone W body in Memphis this past weekend. I went out in the 1st round with a 14.204 @ 96 mph. I had a great time though.

you need a bit of torque management on the 1-2 shift. or it will eat the convertor.

The tuning went pretty good. The timing was adjusted to eliminate kr. We added fuel in the upper ranges and turned off DOD. It shifts at 6100 and feels better in 2nd gear. I am hoping to improve my driving technique. I am going to the track next weekend. Hopefully I can click off some 13.8's or better. This will be my last trip to the track this season. Area, how much TM should I have put back in on the 1-2 shift?

not that much really. just enough to get it to shift fast and not hang between the gears. it takes a bit of tweaking to get it right. which is something you really can't do with a mail order tune

My EFI Live tune is a custom tune. We removed all of the delay from the shifts. Stock I believe that it was nearly 3/10 of a second. Since it does shift fast and there is virtually no delay should I leave it alone or put some TM back in?
