Default STI wanted a piece of me

I was going around a round about last night when this car came up on my *** with its blue brites blinding me from every direction. I was thinking that it was a mini van or something, but as I went under the bridge it became clear to me that it was an STI. I accidentally cut him off, as he tried to go around me when the lane merged into one, just as we passed the second off ramp. That blow off valve is loud!
So anyways.. as we approached the freeway, I was doing about 50 and he was still on my *** so I knew that as soon as he was able to get around me, he was going to mash it. I dropped my shifter into M and tapped the trans into second. Still doing 50 and waiting.. sure enough he down shifted and jerked the wheel over just barley hitting my bumper. Just as he got over I put my foot into it and prayed for my life.
I heard him grab 3rd as he came up on my mirror but he didn't get the pull I started too pull! He was at my taillight when I hit 3rd and we got up to 130 before I almost s++- myself! He never left my bumper and I couldn't believe it.
He passed me doing over 130 and I saw the STI badge, wing and of course the big scoop.
Looking back now, I don't no what I was thinking. I don't ever drive like this and I don't go out looking for trouble. I guess I just got all hacked off cause he was riding my *** and then tried to cut me off. It was fun though, and I know I'd get killed in a drag race.

Intense!! Definitely a good KILL! Those things are fast...so are the evo's. I've never had a fair shot at a stock one since I got my mods, but I keep up with them pretty well from a strong roll in stock form. I've definitely surprised some! If I only had my tranny shifts programmed like they're supposed to be, I'm confident I can take one out.

Be careful man. This one compact car was trying to pass me like a bat out of hell one day and I romped on it...he couldn't get passed me but he tried to get in my lane anyways (DUMBASS!) and he hesitated and went back in his lane and totally spun out! I had to avoid him running into me! Boy that was close.

Kid's like that aren't worth it. Best to stick to "agreed" street races from a dig or roll side by side. Not ones that involve someone trying to pass you.

Nice job. I have an 07 STI DD. Stock it went 13.2-13.3 @ 101.5mph. Not really a roll race car, but decent from a dig!

Good work!

I would say they are "okay" from a roll, but you really have to have the turbo spooled up

Well if it was me and he was close enough to hit my bumper when trying to get around i would have had a new imp because i would have mashed the breaks and seen him either freak and mash his or slam into me. Either way i would have been completly oposite as you. Did you get his plate for a hit and run?

So did he leave a mark on your bumper??

I had an experience with an STi too. I was at a red light waiting to get on the on ramp to the freeway. Next to me was an STi and up ahead the lanes merged into one right before the freeway starts. He got the jump on me when the light turned green and we both floored it. I was at his rear bumper most of the time but he started pulling away soon after. I let off when the freeway started because of heavy traffic. He didn't sound stock but I would have lost regardless. And it probably didn't help that I had 2 passengers and 22" wheels either. It was fun though. Hope I catch him in the T/A!

Did I? I didn't see a spot in this tread where it said that he hit my bumper. It must be the way I typed it or something.
When I said mash it I was referring to the gas maybe this is where the confusion lies?

That's what were all seeing. Sounds like you were saying he actually hit your car.
