I always heard if your car isn’t setup for higher octane it actually does more harm by leaving more deposits since it burns slower. More timing and leaner mix will make better use of 93 over 86, but like others have said without high compression it would likely be a waste. Unless mixing works but I’d think you’d have a hard time ensuring the right amount, to up your existing octane value.

Sunoco GT 100 (aka 100 octane CAM2) is 100 octane unleaded, street legal gas... no problems for our cars...

there are different octane levels, leaded/unleaded versions of CAM2... you probably had a higher octane, leaded fuel...
