winter wheels

I don't think this has been posted yet (I searched the forum), but I'm thinking about going with some winter tires/wheels. Tires are not the issue, my issue is the wheels I want to use. They are (go ahead and laugh) a set of 17" wheels off of a 98 mustang gt (my wifes old car). I did some research and the Impy uses a 5-115 bolt pattern, while the stang wheels are 5-114. Anyone know if those might fit and if there would be any clearance issues with the calipers? Thanks for any input!

no problem I put on 17s for winter and everything fit

I have 17 inch steel rims with Blizzaks, not sure what the tire shop used but I think they did say it fits Mustangs

I know some people who have snapped a wheel stud or two by putting 5-114.3 wheels on a 5-115 bolt pattern.

There are alot of 97-03 gp guys that run the mustang rims. I have not heard of any problems.

I know my rims slid right on. You do not need to wiggle them or anything, maybe they are different I will try and find the reciept.

LIkely they will grind on the studs a little. You won't have problems right away (neccesarily) but after a few seasons they will start to wear through the studs. Seen it more than I would like. .
