custom tune So I got a coupon from Synergy Motorsports for a custom tune for $350 so I am planning on getting a tune for the SS if they can fit me in this month. They never tuned an LS4 before I don't think but they use HP tuners so they should be able to do it. This is what I'm thinking of having them doing along with everything else they normally do:
-remove DOD?
-raise rev limiter to red line in park
-tune for 91 octane
-firm upshifts
Anything else I'm missing? I'm still not sure on the DOD as it does increase fuel efficiency somewhat, but the drone of 4-cyl mode bothers me and I always drive in 3 around town anyway. What do you guys think? If I get the tune I will post the dyno sheet here for everyone.

Got my tune Tuesday and I'm pleased with the results, however I never really got a chance to go WOT from a dead stop yet. Had Rick disable the DOD. Its too early to tell how my overall mileage was affected, but driving around town I think maybe I lost 2-3 mpg at most. Car accelerates better and smoother. Upshifts are much snappier and faster, but not too jerky at partial throttle. Car downshifts much faster too. He adjusted the shift points, but it still seems to shift into 2nd way too early sometimes. Overall the car just feels a lot better. Thanks Rick! 
Bad news is that Rick said he couldn't get a good number on the dyno because of some issue he talked about with the newer automatic cars not wanting to stay in 1st. So no numbers or dyno sheet. And sorry, I don't have a digital camcorder so no video guys.
On a side note there was a black S/C'd C6 Z06 there with CCW 505a wheels and Hoosier 345's drag radials. I wonder if that car belongs to anyone on this board. That thing is badass! 850+ whp and sounds freakin crazy! Kudos to whoever built that thing.

I just got back from a trip to Vegas and I averaged 24 mpg which includes driving around in town in Vegas. Not bad considering the entire drive is going up and down hills and I went 80-85mph the whole way.

He said that he didn't like the dyno results so he did most the tuning on the road. All he said was that he has trouble with these newer automatic cars and he mentioned the car wanting to shift too early. I didn't ask for any further explanation but maybe I should have.
