dang thing will close to the vent position, but then locks up, won't go fully down. Of course the car is outside and we are expecting 6 more inches of snow. Lousy garbage bag is not going to keep the wet out. Is there any way to crank it down by hand? Owners manual is completely useless on anything but which button is supposed to close it. Can open and close it (it stops 3 inches on the way back until I hit the button again and then goes until it hits some sort of limiter and the lights dim from the current draw, so it is not right)

did you check the rails?? nothing bent or blocking them??
as it's closing, have someone on the outside try helping/pushing it to see if it gets past the stuck point and closes down.

just for ha-ha's... try disconnecting the battery for about 20 minutes... see if that clears any glitches that may have occurred in a module somewhere...

gave up, covered it up, waiting for it to get light, then calling the dealer. Hopefully not going to have to take a shovel to the interior. Only got about 2 inches, so we shall see how much got in.
update, no snow inside (except when I pulled the plastic off and tried one last time to open/close it, so a little now). Now it is stuck open even further. Leaving for dealer in about 30.

Ok, all fixed. Dealer claims two bad grounds caused a module to forget its programming. Got the tires rotated as long as I had it in and griped about the squeeling window when it gets warm. They further claim that one is not the window seal in the TSB, but the entire internal mechanism, so they are ordering that. We shall see.

Ok, it's on now!
Opened up my guaran-goddamn-teed sunroof on the way back from work this morning and it, of course, is stuck open again. Same symptoms as before. It seems the service guy is going to have an exceedingly unpleasant morning.

They got it closed and are ordering an entire new assembly, which tells me they have no clue. Probably burn that one out shorty after it gets installed.
