Audio I was wondering how hard it is to install a system in the 06-07 Monte due to the fact I see many people with subs and not a new head unit...So if someone let me know about that I would appreciate it a lot...

Its easy the only reason i havn't installed a headunit into mine is because the only ones to me that are a "upgrade" are 2,000 dollars. Anyways our headunit is called a double Din. If you go to www.crutchfield.com Put in your vechicle and select the headunit you want they will tell you everything you need to install it yourself. If you have onstar you will need a BUS "computer" and a wiring harness which is aroudn 200 bucks that way your onstar and all that crap works. as for removing the headunit you pop the outer trim off and when u get your radio in the mail it will have these wire looking things that you poke in each corner to pull the radio out. Google knows all :-\
You can get a great DD DVD/Nav headunit (Pioneer AVIC-D3) from best buy right now for $700, or on eBay (new and/or refurb) for around $600. Yes, you need a "chime module" to retain chimes and Onstar, but that can easily be found on eBay for under $70. Then you need a dash kit and antenna adapter (another $20). You can do away with factory chimes and onstar if you wish and go with a $15 harness. If you buy this unit at Crutchfield (the unit is $1000 minus a $200 Pioneer MIR until 3/1) will supply the basic harness, adapter and dash kit for you at no cost. That actually applies to any HU purchase at Crutch.
Regarding the install, unless it's different than the Imp, you pop the dash trim around the radio (held in by spring clips only) and unscrew the radio and HVAC controls (6 screws). Pull them out, separate the two units, and R&R the radio. AFAIK, there is no special took as Sint3k described...that was primarily a Ford radio thing. Google don't no jack
...although I DO rely on it more times than not, it's not right in this case.

If you want to keep your stock head unit, you can go with a JL Audio clean sweep (expensive but worth it), or a PAC AEOM-GM1416 (relatively inexpensive with good performance) to get you some RCA outputs to add an amp or two.
X2 for the clean sweep....I have one and it gives me all the power i need to run two alpine 10's in a big box.
