Yes, it could, but that is why I upload the factory tune everytime I bring it in for warranty work.

I would think if they figured out that you had a tune written to the computer and you had engine failure, sure, it could void the warranty. Good thing about HPT and (cough) Diablo (cough) is that you can easily upload the factory tune so no one knows the difference...just be sure to yank the neg cable off the battery to clear the history.

But that is a good point, they are only going to look if you give them a reason to...

my dealership wont care if i put NOS on the bitch and toast her. All they are going to say is why don't you have a bigger shot :X make freinds with your dealership its the best thing you can do , and try to give them work thats not warranty related.

Of course it will but what they don't know won't hurt them. I've had mine in for work under warranty at least twice since I've tuned mine, but it wasn't drivetrain related.

Buffalo, what do you mean clear the history? I know if you disconnect the battery for 2 hours or so it will reset the computer, but it won't affect the tune, at least with HP tuners. The PCM will just relearn the tune.

The dealer can see when tunes were written to the ECM in its history. Pulling the cable and/or ECM fuse will clear that.
