Um to the guy worried about getting dirty. Its oil. It won't bite. Plus rolling out from under a car all oily and dirty makes me feel good.

I'm with ya on that one. There is no point working on a vehicle if you don't get dirty, it's part of the fun. But what I was referring to was the dirty oil left in the pan because the drain plug is in the front.

The kind that used to work on F-16's in the Air Force this was her back in 04 while doing a 6 month stay in Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar

Sorry to bring this one back up, but what K&N oil filter are you using for a 2007 Monte SS? I cant seem to find one. Also, I want to get a magnetic oil drain plug for it, what size should I be looking for (thread, diameter, length)? If possible, can you tell me where to get it?

I just chaged the Oil in my SS. I decided to go With AMSOIL oil and the EA032 filter.

no but if you jack a gxp in front of either rear tire, when it gets high enough, it will lift the other side. not the safest practice.

HP-1017 for 5.3L V8

Don't know for sure about the magnetic drain plug. One for any LS2-3 engine shood work. If you gimme a couple days I could find you a part number.
